WHAT’S HAPPENING NEXT?
Winter Coat Drive: As the winter approaches warm coats, hats and gloves are necessities that many families do not have access to. You can help by collecting slightly used or new coats, hats and gloves for our friends in the city of Richmond. Collection will begin November 1st and continue through the end of the month. The coats, hats and gloves will be distributed on Sunday December 6th.
The next Blessing Day is Sunday November 8th from 1:00-5:00
House Blessing Opportunities
Are you looking for a way to engage your youth group or Sunday school class, entire congregation or family in a service project? Are you looking for an opportunity to do a missions trip but don’t have a weeks time…we have an opportunity for you! Please consider signing up for one of our monthly House Blessing Events. During these events, you will come to the inner city and you will engage and serve a homeless family transitioning from a shelter to their new home by helping them shop for furniture and then moving them in! It is an experience of hospitality and selflessness that families and groups can experience together! Blessing Days happen once a month from 1:00-5:00 in the afternoon.
If you are interested please contact Sara Adcock at sara@embracerichmond.org or 804-343-5008.

Emersion Experiences
Poverty Emersion: Experience the reality of living life in poverty. Our friends from the communities we are involved with will share their real life experiences to help you better understand what they struggle with every day, and all of the things that we take for granted. After hearing from them we will venture into their communities to unite together and serve. This year the experience will take place April 7-9. Contact Sara Adcock at sara@embracerichmond.org for more information or to sign up your group!
Homeless Emersion: Embrace Richmond has been working on a Homeless Simulation this year. Participants will journey through what it is like to be one of our homeless clients in a three day two night experience. Families, youth groups, congregations, etc are welcome to participate (children must be 14 and up) The event will take place on June 24-26! If you are interested in this experience please, send an email to Sara Adcock sara@embracerichmond.org ; we would like to start seeing who in our community is interested.
